The cornerstone of EMMA´s operations is formed by two collections: The City of Espoo Art Collection and The Saastamoinen Foundation Art Collection.

Martti Aiha
1952

Hannu Martti Matias Aiha er en finsk kunstner, som er mest kjent som billedhugger. Hans skulpturer har trekk fra kalligrafiske strukturer, og han arbeider både i gips, tre og metall.
Han er utdannet fra Läroanstalten för konstindustri 1970–72 og fra Finlands Konstakademi 1972–76. I tillegg til skulptur har han også arbeidet med maleri.
Han er innkjøpt av Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, det finske samtidskunstmuseet Kiasma og flere andre finske museer. Han har mottatt Finska Konstföreningens dukatpris 1982, Expohja-prisen 1987 og Pro Finlandia-medaljen 1992. Hans offentlige arbeider omfatter blant annet «Futura – Tuntematon» i Uleåborg, den halvfigurative hestestatuen «Rumba» i Helsingfors og «Musikalske fragmenter» ved operaen i Göteborg. Han har også bidratt til Skulpturlandskap Nordland med installasjonen «Syv magiske punkter» i Skånland i Troms.
Aiha ble i 2013 tildelt den svenske Prins Eugen-medaljen.
