12 Brillos Crew

12 Brillos Crew from Museo a Cielo Abierto en San Miguel, Santiago, Chile

The Workers' Movement in Chile began its struggle in the early 1900s when the workers had no social or labor legislation to protect them. They formed with their own hands the mutuals, the societies of resistance and the communal ones. The movement was led by several figures such as Luis Emilio Recabarren and Clotario Blest. In this mural the history is represented from the workers in the mines of saltpeter in the north of Chile to the workers sub contracted today in the private mines. With Clotario Blest in the Center, as one of the great leaders. To paint in the open Museum of the Pincoya for 12 shines, I mean to rediscover ourselves with our own roots populations, with our childhood of small goats playing in the street, earth, violence, humility, collaboration. For us to participate in this type of projects is super important, to develop our message and to deliver it where it should be. The feeling that leaves us, is as if we return to our own population, after a long journey to show what has been learned.
